Robbery 3500 Block of P ST NW

Dear Members of the Georgetown University Community,
 
Please be advised that on Friday October 23, 2020 at 3:18 p.m. a non GU affiliate reported to The Metropolitan Police Department that while sitting in their vehicle in the 3500 Block of P ST NW, a male with dark complexion, approximately 20 to 40 years of age, wearing a grey shirt and black pants knocked on their window asking for money. After refusing to give the suspect any money, the suspect smashed the window, then pulled out a black handgun and pointed it at the non-GU affiliate, asking for their wallet and bag. The suspect was last seen headed eastbound on P ST NW, then northbound on 35th Street NW. 
 
The Georgetown University Police Department is requesting that anyone who has information regarding this or any other incident(s), or who sees the above described person(s) to contact the Georgetown University Police Department (GUPD) at 202-687-4343 or The Metropolitan Police Department Second District Station at 202-715-7300, or the Detectives Office at 202-730-1903, or the Command Information Center at 202-727-9099 immediately.

1. On campus students should call GUPD at 202.687.4343 regarding any safety concerns.
 
2. Off campus students with immediate safety concerns should call MPD at 911 and GUPD at 687.HELP.
 
3. Students noticing suspicious activities or individuals loitering around entrances to residence halls, apartments, or townhouses should immediately notify GUPD at 202.687.4343.
