Apply to be a Student Guard

Thank you for your interest in working as a Student Guard during Fall 2016! The application process is competitive, so please read the following information carefully to ensure that you maximize your chances.

Before you begin the application, note that in addition to the online component, there is also a paper component to the application if this is your first time working for Georgetown. The paper component includes the I-9 form and DC Tax form which should be submitted to Georgetown University Human Resources as soon as you are offered and accept a position with us before your first date of employment. Please note that when you are turning in the I-9 form to HR, you also must be sure to bring original copies of the documents required for the form. Additional information about the I-9 process can be found via Human Resources.

Shifts are generally in four-hour blocks: 0800-1200, 1200-1600, 1600-2000, and 2000-0000, with exceptions typically allowed during the 0800-1200 and 1200-1600 shifts Mondays through Fridays. Applicants are required to be willing to work at least two shifts per week, and must be available for at least two “critical needs” shifts — Friday nights, Saturday mornings, Saturday nights, and Sunday mornings. Students may not work more than 10 shifts (40 hours) per week.
